Choosing the right materials for building own house.

The decision about building a new house is connected with various problems with choosing required materials for proper conducting the building process. Building own house in cold regions with very cold winters is always based on selection of warming the house with good warm materials with very low heat conductivity factor. This problem which is very important for limiting the costs of central heating during autumn and winter, because limiting of escape of the warm from the inside of our home to the outside can only be fulfilled with good isolation but usually this is cost we have to pay only one time. At the other hand the we might have problems with moisture if the house is not dry enough and we would move in too quickly. This problem is often occur when we are dealing with construction made from bricks or concrete where water is required in process of concrete bounding, in those situation it is good to left the building after end of building works for one season in raw state before it will be inhabited for gaining sureness that moisture will come out completely from the building to the outside. Many people for the building their own houses are choosing wood, pine wood is very popular in northern regions in the world where is good access about this wood. Pine wood is good for such a construction elements like beams, roof construction elements, because it is very well soaked by waterproof chemical substances obtained from the forest during its growth. Pine wood just like another kinds of wood should be impregnated before use by using proper wormproof preparate and other biological corruption processes means. Using concrete for building our houses is connected with application of two option available. First is using ready prefabricated elements made in factories or the second performing them ourselves on building place from such a materials like cement, building sand and water mixed in proper proportion.

For building walls, construction walls, separation walls, external walls, many people is willing to choose ceramic materials like bricks or concrete blocks. Fundament walls should be build from water degradation and acidity of soil durable materials, bricks are good for that aim but also concrete blocks are acceptable. Silicate bricks also are suitable. Not suitable for making fundament walls are aerated concrete blocks for their low durability on soil environment, especially on water, but they are suitable for walls not being directly below ground.

For ceilings is not good to apply aerated concrete blocks.

Building houses from only wood make sense when we want to live in low facilities, not predicted for more than two living levels. Glued wood however could have bigger durability on breaking and it can be applied even as a roof construction elements in such a facilities like roofed swimming pools or trade centers.  

Glass is always a material used for windows, doors or other parts delivering the light into the buildings. Glass is a fragile material but it can be reinforced by using fiberglass or can be replaced by transparent plastic plates like polycarbonate plates or acryl plates what is allowing to obtain not breakable light delivering surfaces.
